It may yet still be in the early days for comparative research, given that the Word Trade Organization only finalised the TFA in Bali in 2013, with cost reduction, speed, and efficiency as the main focus of negotiations; corruption prevention was not at the forefront of discussions (Kassee and Bhunjun-Kassee, 2016).
The relevance of the TFA for anti-corruption is, however, apparent in Articles 1, 4, 7, 8 and 12 therein.
The wide ranging requirements and comprehensive modernisation procedures set out in the TFA are relevant to corruption reduction as well as to increasing business efficiency.
